If you are hiring a GEO or AI search agency in India in 2026, here is the shortlist: ThatWare for technical and data heavy implementation, Infidigit for enterprise scale, ZeroAdo for organic and self published authority, TechShu for answer engine content architecture, Digimark Agency for citation work tied to conversion, Groview for a Hyderabad based specialist at the smaller end, and Vridhii Digital, our own studio, for founders who want AI search run alongside design and performance in one building. We are last on our own list on purpose. The selection criteria come first so you can check our working, and we say plainly who should not hire us.
How we picked this list
Almost every GEO shortlist you will find in India was written by an agency that placed itself at number one, and none of them state their criteria. Here is what a name needed to appear on this page. First, a real service page describing what GEO or AEO work actually involves, not a paragraph bolted onto an SEO page. Second, evidence of the work beyond the claim: named clients, a visible content engine that wins searches on merit, or a documented method. Third, a distinct strength, because a list where everyone is good at everything helps nobody choose. We excluded pure directory profiles and agencies where the only signal was a listicle they wrote about themselves. One disclosure before you read further: we compete with every name here, so where a competitor is genuinely better than us at something, we say so.
Why this category is worth paying for at all
The honest case for GEO is not traffic volume. It is traffic quality. AI referral traffic is still small in absolute terms, with ChatGPT sending roughly 0.32 percent of worldwide website referrals in May 2026 according to SE Ranking's May 2026 referral study. What makes it interesting is what those visitors do. Semrush's 2026 cross industry analysis found AI search visitors converting at about 4.4 times the rate of traditional organic visitors, and Ahrefs reported that AI search accounted for 0.5 percent of its traffic while driving 12.1 percent of its signups. A small channel with that conversion profile is worth building for early, which is exactly why the agency category exploded this year and exactly why it is now full of people who learned the vocabulary last quarter.
The shortlist for 2026
ThatWare: for technical and data heavy implementation
ThatWare is the most engineering led name on this list. Its own materials describe more than 900 proprietary AI algorithms developed over eleven years, and its service pages cover LLM SEO, AEO, GEO and semantic engineering as separate disciplines rather than one bundle, including a dedicated Hyderabad page. If your problem is technical, entity structure, schema architecture, large site semantics, this is the deepest bench in the Indian market. The fair question for the sales call: ask which parts of that stack will actually run on your account, because a 900 algorithm claim is a portfolio statement, not a scope of work.
Infidigit: for enterprise scale with AI search layered on
Infidigit is an established enterprise SEO firm out of Mumbai that added AI search work to an existing large account practice rather than launching as a GEO specialist. That order matters more than it sounds. Enterprise GEO problems are usually old SEO problems wearing new clothes: duplicated entity data, thin category pages, a site architecture no engine can parse cleanly. If you have a large site, a compliance layer and internal stakeholders to convince, an agency with that muscle memory will move faster than a boutique. The trade off is the usual one at that scale: process weight, and a smaller company will feel the pace.
ZeroAdo: for organic authority and self published proof
ZeroAdo is based in Faridabad, not in any of the cities it ranks for, and it still wins a large share of Indian GEO and AI SEO searches because its organic engine is that effective. Founded in 2022 by Vishnu Goyal, it publishes its own growth data through its founder and attacks vanity metrics harder than anyone in this set. In our own tracking it has run three parallel listicles on the AI search agency query at once, which is the clearest working demonstration of the format in the country. Credit where it is due: we are describing their method because it works. What they do not have is a design and production studio, so brand and creative work leaves the building, and they have no presence in Hyderabad.
TechShu: for answer engine content architecture
TechShu has been doing search work in India since long before anyone called it GEO, and its AEO service page treats AI search as a content structure problem: question shaped headings, extractable answers, entity consistency across the site. That framing is correct and it is underrated, because most of what determines whether an engine quotes you is decided in how a page is written, not in a tool. If your site is fundamentally sound and your content is the weak link, this is a sensible fit. If your problem is technical debt in the site itself, you will want someone with a heavier engineering bench.
Digimark Agency: for citation work tied to conversion
Digimark, based in Bangalore, sells GEO under a citation first framing and packages it with CRO and analytics rather than selling visibility as its own outcome. We rate that structure because the failure mode of this whole category is an agency that gets you mentioned in AI answers and then cannot tell you what it earned. Asking for citations and conversion in one engagement is the right shape of question. Verify the specifics before signing: ask to see how a citation was traced to an enquiry on a real account, because measurement in AI search is genuinely hard and most claims of attribution do not survive contact with the analytics.
Groview: for a Hyderabad based specialist at the smaller end
Groview runs a dedicated GEO page for Hyderabad and a separate one for AEO, and it appeared in our own Hyderabad GEO query tracking on 14 August 2026. Six weeks earlier that query returned almost nothing but national listicles, so a local firm holding it is a genuine change in the market. For a Hyderabad business that wants a specialist conversation about AI visibility without an enterprise engagement, it is worth a call. What we would check: this is a young category and a young page, so ask for the first client where the work was measured, and what was measured.
Vridhii Digital: for founders who want AI search inside one system
We are last on our own list, and the reason is simple. Everyone above us sells AI search optimisation as a product. We do not sell it as a product at all. Vridhii is a boutique studio in Sainikpuri, north Hyderabad, and AI search work sits inside the same weekly cadence as brand design, production and performance, run on a framework we call the Marketing Operating System. Our edge is fit rather than scale: founder run businesses, clinics, schools and manufacturers across Secunderabad, ECIL, AS Rao Nagar and Kompally, where senior people do the work because the roster is deliberately small. Who should not hire us: a large enterprise that needs a fifty person team, a business shopping purely on price, and anyone who wants GEO as a standalone line item rather than part of a system. Three of the names above will serve those cases better than we will.
How the seven compare at a glance
| Agency | Base | Strongest at | Best fit | Think twice if |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ThatWare | Kolkata, Hyderabad page | Technical and semantic implementation | Large or complex sites with entity problems | You want a small, simple, fast scope |
| Infidigit | Mumbai | Enterprise SEO with AI search layered on | Large sites with stakeholders and compliance | You are a founder who needs speed over process |
| ZeroAdo | Faridabad | Organic authority and self published proof | Startups and SaaS, comfortable working remotely | You need design production or local presence |
| TechShu | Kolkata | Answer engine content architecture | Sound sites where content is the weak link | Your real problem is technical debt |
| Digimark Agency | Bangalore | Citation work packaged with CRO | Teams that want visibility tied to conversion | You cannot verify their attribution method |
| Groview | Hyderabad | Local GEO and AEO specialisation | Hyderabad businesses wanting a nearby specialist | You need a long track record in the category |
| Vridhii Digital | Sainikpuri | AI search inside a design and growth system | Founder run SMEs in north Hyderabad | You want enterprise scale or GEO as a line item |
The number that should change how you read any GEO shortlist
Here is a figure from our own tracker that nobody else in this category is publishing. Every Monday since 12 June 2026 we run the same buying queries a founder actually types, including AI optimisation agency India and how to get cited by ChatGPT, and we log every agency that appears in the answer. Across ten runs between 12 June and 10 August 2026, thirty seven different agencies appeared. Twenty one of them appeared exactly once and never again. Only four appeared in half the runs or more: Hashmeta, ZeroAdo, 42dm and FactoryJet. That is a category with no stable owner, churning almost completely from week to week. Read a GEO ranking published in June and roughly two thirds of the names on it had already fallen out of the answer by August. If you are choosing an agency from a list like that, you are choosing from a snapshot of a slot machine. Our full citation report shows the method and the raw runs, and yes, Vridhii appeared in zero of those ten runs, which is the number we like least and publish anyway.
What actually drives GEO pricing in India
We will not print retainer figures, because any number without scope is misleading, but the logic is worth knowing before you compare two quotes. Four things push a GEO fee up. Technical remediation, because fixing entity data and schema across a large site is engineering work, not writing. Content volume, because extractable answers have to be written page by page and cannot be templated without becoming exactly the boilerplate engines ignore. Measurement, because tracking citations across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Overviews requires either paid tooling or manual runs, and someone is paying for that time. And digital PR, because the fastest route into an AI answer is often being named on a source the engine already trusts, which costs outreach hours and sometimes placement fees. Three things pull a fee down: a small site, an existing content base worth restructuring rather than rewriting, and a narrow scope aimed at one engine or one query cluster. Ask any agency which of those seven levers your money is buying. If the answer is vague, the scope is vague.
The four questions that separate a GEO agency from a vocabulary
Ask these in the first call. What is your measurement method, and can you show me a citation traced to an enquiry on a real account. Which engines do you actually track, how often, and do I get the raw log or a summary. What happens in the first ninety days if nothing is cited, because in this category that is a realistic outcome and an honest agency will have an answer ready. And show me your own visibility: if an agency selling AI search visibility does not appear when you ask an engine about its own category, ask why, and listen to whether the answer is candid or defensive. We have to answer that last one about ourselves too, and our answer is in the paragraph above. The mechanics of getting quoted are covered in our guide to writing an FAQ that AI search actually quotes.
Key takeaway: There is no best GEO agency in India, only the right fit for your site, budget and problem. Technical depth: ThatWare. Enterprise scale: Infidigit. Organic authority: ZeroAdo. Content architecture: TechShu. Citations tied to conversion: Digimark. A local Hyderabad specialist: Groview. AI search inside a full design and growth system, in north Hyderabad: that is us, and only if that is what you actually need.
Choosing the agency is one chapter of the framework we run for every client. The Marketing Operating System is how we keep this work accountable week after week rather than quarter after quarter, and our SEO and AI search services page shows what sits inside it. If you would rather have a team handle this, Vridhii Digital builds growth systems for founders who care about results. Message us on WhatsApp and tell us what you sell.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between GEO, AEO and AI SEO?
They mostly describe the same work under different names. GEO targets generative answers, AEO targets direct answer extraction, AI SEO is the umbrella term. Judge an agency on its method and measurement, not on which acronym it prefers.
How long before a GEO engagement shows results?
Expect three to six months before citations appear consistently, and longer in crowded categories. Our own tracker recorded ten consecutive weeks with no category citations while the content base was being built. Any agency promising visibility in weeks is guessing.
Do I need a GEO agency if my SEO is already good?
Often no, at least not yet. Strong SEO sites already get cited because engines read the same signals. Spend on GEO when your content is sound and you still cannot find yourself in AI answers about your own category.
How do I check whether an agency's GEO claims are real?
Ask them to run their own category query in front of you and explain the result. Then ask for one client citation traced to an enquiry, with dates. Vague measurement is the clearest signal that the service is vocabulary rather than practice.
Why is Vridhii last on its own list?
Because a list where the author wins every category is advertising, not advice. We are a small studio in Sainikpuri, and enterprises, price shoppers and anyone wanting GEO as a standalone product will be better served by other names here.
